Trout Creek Ranch is located 36 miles east of Yellowstone National Park in the stunning Wapiti Valley 15 miles west of Cody, Wyoming. We breed, raise, train, show and sell performance quarter horses.

Through the years our breeding program has evolved from a quality foundation program into a performance breeding program.  Our bloodlines include: Playgun, Miss Reed Chex, Gallo Del Cielo, Doc O'Lena, Master Jay, Kit's Smoke and Freckles Playboy. The focus of our breeding program is longevity, conformation and good disposition. 

Standing at stud is our 2001 Buckskin stallion Playgun Chex. Playgun Chex has sired foals beginning in 2005.  Playgun Chex has been bred to our mares and to a few outside mares.  We take pride in our mares being solidly built, structurally sound with good feet, big hips and pretty heads.  We feel the cross between Playgun Chex and our mares is excellent.  Early training of Playgun Chex's colorful foals has revealed foals with great conformation, athletic ability and solid minds.  You can see some of his offspring that are for sale and as two year olds, yearlings and weanings.  We may have some horses available for sale in 2008.  Please check this web site or contact us.

In addition to our breeding program, we train a few of our own horses each year to show.  Currently, we have horses from weanlings to horses competing in the Bridle, Derby and Snaffle Bit shows.  Check out some of the performance horses that are in training for 2008 shows.

Our ranch also raises top quality grass and alfalfa hay for our horses. Much of the ranch is pasture land for our horses to graze under the blue Wyoming sky.
